Community Care Ambulance Network Billing Clerk in Ashtabula, Ohio

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for all Billing Department clerical task as well as main phone receptionist.

REPORTS TO: Billing Manager

EDUCATION: High School Graduate or Equivalent

EQUIPMENT: Computer, Printer, Copier, Fax, Phone

  • Check in all Ambulance and Wheelchair PCR’s

  • Answer incoming phone calls while maintaining professionalism and direct them to the appropriate extension as requested by the caller

  • Filing

  • Scan documents

  • Account for missing PCR’s for both Ambulance and Wheelchair / Maintain missing PCR spreadsheet

  • Process Returned Patient Signature Forms and Medical Certification Forms

  • Print Primary and Secondary insurance claim forms

  • Print and mail final notice letters

  • Process Credit Card Payments

  • Request Face-sheets from facilities

  • Run Patient Statement Batches

  • Process mail returns

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Over-time as requested by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1 years medical office experience

  • Basic computer skills-Microsoft Office - Beginner to include Excel spreadsheets

  • Good problem solving abilities

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to work independently or as team

  • Possess strong organizational skills

  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic
