Job Title: Billing Clerk

Location: Thousand Oaks, CA

Position Summary

Responsible for processing payer denials and performing follow-up on unpaid accounts. May also be responsible for contacting insurance carriers, patients and other facilities as needed to get maximum payment on accounts and identify issues or changes to achieve client profitability. Quality Assurance Standards and HIPAA rules must be adhered to at all times.


  • 1 year of medical billing or insurance claims experience is required. Alternatively, we will train a candidate who has completed vocational courses in medical billing.

  • Requires above average typing skills.

  • Requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle complex phone calls in regards to patient accounts and insurance inquiries.
