Position: Transportation Clerk
Reports to: Transportation Supervisor

The primary function of this position is to oversee and manage all transactions involving incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure customers are serviced on time and with correct orders.
Manage the shipping process, including reconciliation of shipping manifests, shipping door assignment, staging manifest for loading and removal of trailers from dock doors
Evaluate dock doors and yard assignments for trailers remaining on property and ensure safety and security of all trailers.
Maintain safety, housekeeping and preventative guidelines in assigned areas
Coordinate with the shipping department to invoice and manifest all outbound loads
Accurately reconciles shipping manifests, shipping door assignments, and stages manifest for leading and removal of trailers from dock doors accurately and in a timely manner
Maintain compliance with CTPAT (Customs Trade Partnership against Terrorism).
Ensure safety and security of all trailers on Carhartt property.
Handle confidential information professionally and exercise a high level of independent judgment
Timely reporting of problems in work area to appropriate personnel
Conform to all requirements of internal and external Carhartt customers
Bachelor's Degree Required
Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelors preferred or equivalent work experience in related field required.
2 years’ experience required in warehouse/distribution environment.
Exemplary computer skills required. Specifically in Microsoft Excel and Office
SAP experience preferred
Knowledge of CTPAT (Customs Trade Partnership against Terrorism) preferred
Ability to routinely lift up to 65 pounds
